Dingo Warrior

Welcome

Australia has been the home to the dingo for around 5000 years, but it has only taken just over two hundred years since Author Phillip and his ships landed in Sydney Cove, to threaten this species with extinction.

On board the ships where his greyhounds, some puppies and 44 fat tail sheep. These two creatures are the main cause over the years for the dingo’s demise.

We here at dingo warrior are trying to help save the species before its too late and the dingo goes down the same path as Australia’s other large predators which are now extinct, the Tasmanian tiger and the Marsupial Lion.

The fight for survival is not the dingoes alone but all over the world the top order predators are having trouble to compete for survival in the environment. Many countries have realised that the environment needs these predators to remain healthy and now protect them, reintroducing them back into the wild, with great results.

Unfortunately this is not happening in Australia, the dingo is endangered of becoming extinct through hybridisation and eradication. There is not even one level of Government that has totally protected the dingo. Local, state and federal governments are actively helping to bring the extinction even closer, by having bounties, distributing poison baits and general following the whim of the farming lobby.

Whether you are a conservationist or a farmer we need to stop the loss of this species, when that has happened, then we can work out a solution to any problems. Although there is an unfunded captive breeding programme in place by a small group of dedicated people, this is still not the same as having them reside in the wild and interact with the environment as they have done for thousands of years.
